Position Details



Title: TBS-I Respite Part-Time
Location: Western Suburbs
Full-Time or Part-Time: Part-Time
Expiration Date: 8/30/2010
Description:  The CSI worker is responsible for providing service to children/youth with severely emotional disturbances and their families.  The CSI worker maintains close contact with a supervision member of the child and family team (therapist, caseworker, facilitator, etc.), as well as, the CSI Coordinator.  Male workers are needed.  Bi-lingual workers are needed.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Must have 2 years experience working with children.

Comments:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Participate in all mandatory training sessions.

  • Provide transportation to and from activities as a part of the therapeutic plan for the child.
  • Develop/use existing community resources to further the goals of the treatment plan.
  • Work with supervisors to identify activities that will further a child's link to his/her community and support a transition to more naturalized community resources.
  • Participate in Child & Family Team meetings whenever possible.
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Report to supervisor on a weekly basis (1/2 hour over the telephone).
  • Meet with supervisor at least once per month for hour to discuss overall progress and development of cases.
  • Interacts with parents/guardians and other family members as indicated by the treatment plan.
  • Follow emergency procedures.
  • Comply with all confidentiality procedures.
Compensation: $11-$14 per hour High School Degree, BA/MA Degree $15 per hour
